Friedrich Durrenmatt's THE VISIT
DIRECTED BY : NICHOLAS HUMPREY
What can one say about such a thought provoking piece of theatre. I played a rather young Alfred Ill.It was a demanding but extremely rewarding part and I couldn't have done it without the amazing Madlena Nedeva and the fabulous cast. It was an honour to have been involved in what theatre is all about.
It was performed at a little fringe theatre, above a pub in Camden, London. It was hot and claustrophobic which gave the piece exactly what it needed.Apart from it being so intense, I laughed a lot. Especially when you look at your fellow actor's entrance and they don't appear. And that damn Coffin....

JANE EYRE The Musical
DIRECTED BY : RONNY VERHEYEN
I was very proud being asked to reprise this amazing Character. This was a smaller production without an orchestra but with only a piano and cello. It gave it a total different and more intimate feel to the show. It was a smaller theatre in the heart of Antwerp, Belgium.
And yes Ronny If you ever direct it again, I'll do it again.
WE WILL ROCK YOU
DIRECTED BY CRAIG ALAM AND JENNY SAVAGE
This was the song "head long" from the musical We will Rock You . I spend 7 months in Mallorca performing several shows for Garden Hotels. It was fun but it was very Big Brother.
I can move but I'm not really a dancer. learning 5 shows in three weeks with on every note two dance steps ... I never thought my body could do all that ...
Brian Friel's AFTERPLAY
DIRECTED BY : CARON KEHOE
This is the poster for a production I did at Hayes School Studio in Hayes. You might read it says Jermyn Street. We tried to get a week at the Jermyn Street theatre, Everything was ready. But we didn't get the rights to do it in London.
It was a very easy show for me to do, sing 4 songs and that was it. No character building, nothing. Just waiting for my one cue. Sometimes it can be fun that way.
And I did have fun designing the poster.
JANE EYRE THE MUSICAL
DIRECTED BY : RONNY VERHEYEN
This is taken from the first European production of the Broadway show written by Paul Gordon and John Caird. The translation was by Ronny Verheyen. It was performed In Beveren-Waas, Belgium.
It's one of my favourite characters. The novel is such an amazing piece of literature.Proof is the many times it has been filmed... Ironically like all of Charlotte Bronte's male characters, Rochester is based on a Belgian Professor whom she had a similar relationship with.
The Sideburns are my own .....
Stephen Sondheim's ASSASSINS
DIRECTED BY : COLIN NASH & RAY RACKHAM
Ok, the wig aside (The moustache is my own), this is another one of my favourite characters. The research for John Wilkes Booth was an interesting one because you have to try to understand what his motives were. I found out doing the research that Cheryl (Booth) Blair is related to J.W.Booth.
The Balladeer was played by the wonderfully talented Mark Slaughter.
If you should ask, what is your all-time favourite show, I would say both Assassins and Passion. Once you've done Sondheim, you're an admirer for life....
THRILLER SEASON WHO KILLED AGATHA CHRISTIE / THE GENTLE HOOK / DANGER IN THE SMALL HOURS
DIRECTED BY : LIONEL CHILLCOT AND JOHN BROMLEY
Repertory Theatre. The company was called Newpalm Productions and I was also ASM on all three. In Who killed Agatha Christie, I had the pleasure of my first real big Voice-Over, which was going to be used in the play.I had to play a man who was being pleasured by a woman up to the point of my peak. When we did the recording, I did what the role required and finished with what I drew from memory... Silence .... I immediately thought that what I have been doing all that time isn't how it should sound like. Then the engineer spoke... "A lot of women are going to fall in love with you"....
We spend 3 weeks in Leeds in the Amazing Grand Theatre. On these productions I learned that Men can also be Prima Donnas.
CABARET WITH MISS KIMBERLEY
Miss Kimberley, Manny Patel Jr. and Richard Link. I used to perform in places I thought I would never perform Freedom, Kudos, the Edge. All in Soho. They were incredibly fun to do. And it was a joy to work with such amazing people. If you ever get the chance to see Miss Kimberley perform.. DO IT !!!
